Description

Environmentally conscious and resource-saving actions are essential for one and all today. The aim should always be to improve the economic and ecological conditions today for future generations. Many organizations and social groups now have programs and activities dedicated to environmental issues.

As it is proven that, the cartoon is a powerful weapon against oppression and has a liberator role, where shows many times a reality from an unseen angle, the ignorant man is visualized the reality.

In this context, cartoonists forum organized an International Cartoon Exhibition on emphasizing the individual responsibility towards Environment. Though, there are many efforts that have already been made to explain need of such awareness towards Environmental protection, www.indianink.org tried to make the program more effective by inviting cartoons in person from the prominent cartoonists around the world. The International Eco Cartoon Contest is the first of its kind in the country.

We believe that cartoonists should tackle the issues concerning humanity, in a subtle and funny way. Natural resources like water and land are becoming increasingly scarce. The response has been tremendous; we have received 300 entries from all over the world. The cartoons are of exceptionally of high standard. Only a select few find place in this album due to constraints of space. All the cartoons will be on display at exhibitions that will travel across the country.

We are amazed at the style, range, Colour, dimensions and composition by the participants. The cartoons succeeded in effectively portraying the importance of environment.
