దళిత బ్రాహ్మణుల చరిత్రకారుడిగా వేగుంట మోహన్ ప్రసాదుకూ, బాల్యం పారేసుకున్న భవభూతి భ్రాతగా కప్పగంతుల మల్లికార్జునరావులకు తోచినా, నాకు మాత్రం-దోస్తా విస్కీపాత్ర, మాస్కోలో పేద విద్యార్థి రోడియన్ రాస్కోల్నికావ్‌గా- చీకటి చలిరాత్రిలో అతడు వేచివున్న వీధిలో శిల్పవిగ్రహంలా, దీనురాలు సోన్యాకోసం నిరీక్షిస్తున్న బుద్దుడిలా గోచరిస్తాడు.
