Description

In India, though the crime is proved, no one talks about the punishment for years together. As a result of this habit the offenders feel that nothing happens even if the crime is committed. This lethargy makes it difficult to control crimes.

If this situation should change, there should be changes made in the very establishments. Efforts should be made to erase the differences between men and women that are observed in the society. Children should be taught to develop a humanitarian outlook through an education that stresses on values. The movies that show women as show things should be banned as also such literature. The free for all that is taking place in the internet should be stopped. Liquor and drugs should be controlled. Rapes and atrocities cannot be stopped or controlled without taking severe action on the above items. Rape offenders should immediately be punished most severely. Then only Nirbhayas will get protection.

25 November is the day of International Anti-violence Day for Women. In that connection I wanted to write a book dealing with the Acts that come to their help, the precautions women should take to protect themselves and allied aspects.

- K.Krishnaiah

Sri K.Krishnaiah's latest book is a timely necessity. People talk but seldom act. The writer has his pen as this weapon. But the pen does not hurt or harm in the hands of a seasoned thinker like Sri Krishnaiah. It acts as an instrument of encouragement, an eye-opener and as a guiding agent.

Cultural societies in the world have been trying to curb the evil tendency in man by passing Acts and punishing him severely for his attacks on women. This book by Sri Krishnaiah is an attempt to help women to safeguard themselves when man behaves forgetting his birth as a human being. Women need not wince at the superior strength of man. They should develop a strong will to face him. Krishnamaiah's book comes out of the heart of the author. It also reflects the thinking of the wise at the half-hearted manner the authorities handle the problem and its solution. Justice delayed is justice denied. It is not for nothing that Sri Krishnaiah has been called the "Samajika Rachana Silpi".
