The eldest among Pandavas was Dharmaraja. He was very soft spoken and humble. He was quite different from Duryodhana. Everyone, among the royal family was happy at the attitudes of Pandavas but was unhappy with the nature of Kouravas. Specifically, they were unhappy at the evil plans of Duryodhana and his group against Pandavas.
The days were passing by. Somebody must be made as the prince either from the Pandavas or from Kouravas. Everyone in the royal family was thinking about the suitable persons among Kouravas and Pandavas. Dhrutharastra consulted Vidura and Bhishma. They advised Dhrutharastra to make Dharmaraja as the prince as he was the right person. Dhrutharastra followed their advice. Dharmaraja became the prince. Soon he won name and fame among the people. His brothers Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula and Sahadeva were cooperating with him in every aspect.
