The outstanding humanist revolutionary philosopher M.N.Roy (original Narendranath Bhattacharya) evolved from nationalist phase to International communist. He was the founder of communist party in Mexico (1919) and India 1921 (Tashment). He worked with Lenin, Stalin, Trotsky. He returned to India after several years, was jailed by Britishers. He joined Congress party with a view to radicalize it but failed. Roy founded Radical Democratic Party which failed to take roots in India. In 1948 Roy started Renaissance movement to work for partyless democracy, decentralization and above all to educate people towards scientific orientation.
Roy contributed several books on Russia, China, India and scientific thought.
His first wife Evelyn Trent was communist. His second wife Allen was humanist.
With much effort the pictures of Roy were collected and put in an album. This is rare and one of its kind to glimpse into the sojourn of Roy.
