Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar was highly educated, a great intellectual and a prominent lawyer. He was the architect of the constitution of India. He was well-versed in several languages.
All his life was full of struggles. He was an untiring social reformer and compassionate and a humanitarian. He hated poverty and longed for the welfare of the down trodden. For it he chose peaceful means. Though he felt that the victims should secure rights through agitations he never resorted to violence and never consented to bloodshed. On account of this alone, he embraced Buddhism. He loved India and the Indian race but he could not approve the caste system prevailing in the Hindu society and he even hated it profoundly. Though born into an untouchable community by dint of hard work, he became highly qualified and occupied several higher positions.
