Description

The most popular misconception is that Gita is a book of "Hindu" religion. In truth, this country that was Bharata never succumbed to religion till the first Islamic invasion about 100 years ago. What was practiced in Bharata Khanda was Dharma, to be juxtaposed with manmade religions. No Buddha who revolted against Vedas was crucified nor any Kapila who bordered on atheism was stoned to death in this land. God or better, Parama Atma was personal. Bhagavadgita - the non-religious book teaches us how to live and let fellow beings live. It is not bound by geographical or Political Borders; it is Universal and the truths in it are valid semper.

In this series I tried to establish this universal and eternal validity of Gita through the teachings of Jesus in the first three volumes. Having done that I felt the readers particularly the westerners should be introduced to Gita and some Vedanta from which Jesus drank heart and Handful of nectar. Jesus after all, did not preach any religion; he stuck to Dharma and Gita. Thus I devoted this concluding volume to the exegesis of Gita amenable to the contemporary generation.
